He has practiced law in the Ithaca area since 2002 with an emphasis on personal injury and business litigation, insurance law, residential and commercial real estate, divorce and family law, and appellate practice.

Before moving with his family to the Ithaca area, Jules was a member of a trial practice firm in the New York City Metropolitan area for twenty two years. He specialized in personal injury and Dog Bite Lawyer matters, including motor vehicle, premises, municipal, and general liability, insurance defense, complex civil litigation, insurance policy and coverage issues, employment contract disputes, and appeals. He has successfully tried cases in the courts throughout the New York City area and surrounding counties.

Jules successfully represented corporate clients such as Budget Rent a Car Systems, Inc., Ryder Systems and Ryder Truck Rental, Borden, Inc., and Pathmark Supermarkets, and defended lawsuits on behalf of a number of municipalities, and insurance carriers such as CIGNA Companies, Employers Self Insurance Service Household Life Ins. Companies, Ladder Management Service, the New York State Insurance Department, and The Yasuda Fire and Marine Insurance Co.

Jules has also successfully argued appeals in the Court of Appeals, New York State’s highest court, and the Appellate Divisions of the First and Second Departments.

Jules served as Chair of the Board of Directors of Lakeview Mental Health Services from 2006 through May 2012 and continues to serve as a Member of the Board of Directors at Lakeview. Lakeview provides quality residential facilities and health and recreational services to the mental health community in five Finger Lakes Counties, including Tompkins County, and has recently constructed major forty apartment facilities in the City of Ithaca and in Seneca County.

While residing in Yorktown Heights and Cortlandt Manor in Westchester County, Jules created and supervised youth basketball programs, and coached girl’s basketball recreational and travel teams for more than fifteen years.

He is a member of the Tompkins County and Broome County Bar Associations.
